Cross-Section — Vertical profile along your route from surface to FL100 with 48 hours of animation. Shows cloud cover heatmap, terrain profile, VFR/IFR clearance lines, freezing level, and wind barbs at 8 altitudes. Includes a head-/tailwind analysis table that highlights the optimal cruise altitude per leg. Supports multi-waypoint routes with draggable map markers and PDF export.

Synopsis — AI-generated weather briefing per region with current conditions, today’s outlook and tomorrow’s trend.
Data Sources
This app combines three DWD models:
Hours 0–14: ICON-D2 RUC (Rapid Update Cycle) Updated every hour with 15-minute time steps – ideal for nowcasting
Hours 15–48: Conventional ICON-D2 Full model run every 3 hours with 2.1 km resolution
Hours 49–120: ICON-EU European-scale model at ~7 km resolution, extends the forecast to 5 days
